Dr Uju Ugochukwu
Dr Uju Ugochukwu is a Consultant Psychiatrist working at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. She jointly set up a newly commissioned Adult ADHD Service in Great Yarmouth and Waveney in 2015 after running special interest adult ADHD clinics since 2006. She played a key role in the development of a Shared Care Protocol for management of Adult ADHD with primary care for Norfolk and Waveney. She also works in a Youth Service for young people aged 14 to 25 and an Early Intervention in Psychosis Service. She is the Lead Clinician for Great Yarmouth and Waveney Locality.
She earned her medical degree from the University and Nigeria. She completed both her core and higher specialist training in psychiatry in Norwich gaining qualifications in General psychiatry and Substance Misuse Psychiatry. She is an honorary lecturer at University of East Anglia. She has a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Analytic Therapy. She completed a CLAHRC (Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care) fellowship in Cambridge in 2012 on service development and transitions between child and adolescent mental health services and adult mental health services.
She has a private practice at Anchor Psychiatry Group where she runs a clinic for diagnosis and treatment of adults with ADHD.
